Dec. 11, 2012 - The Allen Kennemur Group just closed another home and was able to help a seller whom was in a nursing home get rid of the property. The home was move-in ready and featured 3BR/2.5BA w/a den, dinning room, sitting room, kitchen, half bath & one car garage all on the main level. The upstairs contained three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The seller had a trustee that signed all documents for them and The Allen Kennemur Group along with Jefferson Title were able to make this a very smooth transaction. Dana McGowin w/Jefferson Title was the attorney that closed the transaction. The trustee of the estate was excited when she signed off on the offer and said that her sister (the seller) would be so glad to get this home sold. The Trustee was very easy to deal with and got all the documents that were needed in a timely manner. During the negotiations of the deal the purchaser requested a few small repairs. The repairs included new oven/range, clean sweep of the home, replace a door knob, have the HVAC serviced and replace a section of the sidewalk that was cracked. The seller agreed to have the HVAC serviced, do a clean sweep and repair the door knob. The seller also agreed that instead of doing the other repairs they (the seller) would credit the buyer $500. The buyer agreed and we were able to move forward with closing.
