Follow on Google News | Fine Artists Wanted for 2nd Largest Art Festival in MichiganThe 48th Annual Art & Apples Festival in Rochester, Mich., invites fine artists from across the country to apply to the 2nd largest juried art fair in Michigan. More than 125,000 festival-goers come to enjoy the work of over 285 artists each year.
Interested artists may submit their original pieces of work in the following categories: 2D & 3D Mixed Media, Clay Functional, Clay Non-Functional, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber Wearable, Fibers Non-Wearable, Glass, Jewelry Metal, Jewelry Non-Metal, Leather, Metalsmithing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Toys, and Wood. Paint Creek Center for the Arts' strict jurying process ensures the caliber and integrity of the Festival's national assembly of artists. Jurying is done separately for each category by professional artists. Four images are required on CD-ROM; one of the artist’s fully stocked booth and three of the artist’s individual examples of work. Scores in each category are based upon originality, technique, design, and overall impact. Artists will be notified of their acceptance in mid-March. The Art & Apples Festival features overnight security, artist care, drive-in set-up and cash awards among other on-site amenities provided throughout the Festival weekend. Applications may be downloaded online from www.ArtandApples.com. Each category entered requires a $30 application fee and corresponding images on CD-ROM. The deadline for all applications is February 22, 2013 (a postmark date), so don’t waste any time – get your application today.
