Chatpeaux has the answer! An artistic knitwear and jewelry company owned by Toronto designer Sarah Blostein, Chatpeaux specializes in hats that combine fashion AND function for the ultimate in winter warmth and wearability. Each hat is knit with custom combinations of between 4 and 10 different yarns, making each hat as thick and as windproof as possible.
The company started in 2004 with a hand-knit orange cat hat inspired by the designer's own pet. From there the collection of hats grew to include various different animals and styles including dogs, birds, devils, and monsters.
With such a menagerie of hats in their product roster, and with the current vampire/werewolf craze in film and literature ex. Twilight, Trueblood, Being Human, and even the remount of Teenwolf, it only seemed natural to Chatpeaux's designer to make a new line of wolf inspired hats! This new line features the most thickly knit hats to date, with extra inlays and a widows peak on the forehead for extra wind protection!
Chatpeaux's Wear(wolf) hats retail for $160 and can be purchased through their website www.chatpeaux.com
Other hats range in price from $85 to $220 with most hats falling in the $120-$130 price range.
And be sure to visit at the Bazaar of the Bizarre Frost Bite craft show Saturday December 15th at 918 Bathurst St. from 11am-8pm for some hand made Christmas shopping finery!
