Former Steeler Rocky Bleier and VFW Members to Deliver Gifts to St. Barnabas Nursing Homes

Mars VFW members will deliver gifts to 22 veterans who reside at Valencia Woods and The Arbors. Former Steeler and veteran, Rocky Bleier will present a special gift to a patient as well.

PRLog - Dec. 10, 2012 - PITTSBURGH -- Mars VFW members will deliver gifts to 22 veterans who reside at Valencia Woods and The Arbors. Former Steeler Rocky Bleier will present a special gift to Charles Lang, 89, who was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II on an attack transport ship as a radar maintenance specialist.

The event will start with a welcoming ceremony and Presentation of the Colors by the Pine Richland High School Jr. Air Force ROTC. Singing of the national anthem lead by a Kean Quest finalist, Jordan Luntz to follow along with the Pledge of Allegiance and remarks by Rocky Bleier and Presents for Patients spokeswoman, Valerie Day Wilden.

Special gifts for each veteran will be presented.

PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS®, a holiday program founded in 1984 by St. Barnabas President William V. Day. The program has granted gifts and holiday visits for more than 460,324 patients living in nursing home facilities in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Tennessee, West Virginia and South Carolina.
