Follow on Google News | Governor launches the Skill India Partner Program of Laurus Edutech, a partner of NSDCDR.K..ROSAIAH, His Excellency the Governor of Tamil Nadu today launched Skill India Partner Program (SIPP), an initiative of Laurus Edutech, a partner of National Skill Development Corporation and a Chennai based skill development company.
By: Laurus Edutech Laurus Edutech as a partner of NSDC has conceived a unique concept called Skill India Partner Program (SIPP). SIPP is an initiative to act like an extended arm of NSDC in jointly setting up skill development centres with the industry. Laurus Edutech as an NSDC Partner, would be setting up over 540 centres and over 330 of the centres would come in the form of SIPP and jointly with the industry. Laurus Edutech which has signed up with some of large companies like DLF Foundation, Tata Motors, SSWL, Naturals, ADOR Welding etc., has commenced setting up and operating centres as part of this program. Across these 540 centres, Laurus Edutech would be training over 11 lakh students in the next 10 years. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Srinivas RaoCheedella, Managing Director of Laurus Edutech said it’s a momentous occasion to have our SIPP formally launched by DR.K.ROSAIAH, His Excellency The Governor of Tamil Nadu and in the presence of Mr.M.V.Subbiah, Chairman NSDC, other dignitaries and the Industry Partners. The SIPP has been designed as a format to allow a complete flexibility where an Industry Partner or Laurus Edutech operates the centre. This program designed to help Industry outsource the Skill Development Initiatives to specialized entities like Laurus Edutech, thereby help them focus on its core and this also helps specialized entities to ensure the skill development initiatives are aligned to the Industry requirement. Speaking on the occasion Ms. Gayatri Paul, Associate Director of DLF Foundation which is also one of the partners said said “DLF Foundation & Laurus Edutech have set up 16 DLF Skill India training centers across the country and more than 75% of the students receiving training have been provided jobs in large corporate & industrial houses.” End
