By: BAMedia The Halo Award was presented to more than two dozen North Carolina residents who have donated their time, talents or money to the non-profit medical clinic. In November, Beverly raised $1250 on behalf of CAARE, Inc., by hosting a Throwback to the 60s Fundraising Party. Modern Woodmen of America matched her fundraising efforts, bringing the total raised to $2500. She says she was inspired to do something to help the clinic because of their mission and purpose. “When I heard about CAARE’s Homeless Military Dormitory Project, I felt compelled to try to do something to help. Initially, I was going to have a social media networking party but after learning about Dr. Sharon Elliott-Bynum’ Beverly adds she loves the fact that the clinic offers medical care to people without health insurance. “The clinic does not discriminate,” CAARE, Inc. has been operating as a medical clinic since 1996.
