This is not the first co-headlined performance for the rap star and rock band! In fact, it’s not their first New Year’s Eve concert together either. Back in 2010 the two parties headlined the New Year’s Eve event at Marquee Nightclub in Las Vegas, NV. Jay-Z was paid a generous $1 million dollars for his performance that night.
It’s no question Jigga will give the performance of his lifetime, because this will be a show like no other since Barclays Center is located in his hometown, Brooklyn NY. Hova has a vested interest in Barclays Center, not only does it sits in his birthplace, but it’s also home to the Brooklyn Nets basketball team which Jay-Z is part owner.
In October, Jay-Z opened the Barclays Center with a 5 day sold-out concert performance. It’s expected this New Year’s Eve show will sell out fast and be a packed event. Jay-Z seems to have that effect, anything he touches turns to gold.
If you are in the NYC area this New Year’s Eve then this is a concert party you don’t want to miss. Don’t cheat yourself, make sure you grab your tickets and attend this historic concert performance.
