Butterfly will provide table tennis equipment to this outstanding athlete. In addition to being a 2012 Canadian National Team Member, Chen recently achieved two silver medals, one in Junior Boys Doubles and one in Junior Boys Teams, at the 2012 ITTF Bahrain Junior & Cadet Open. Moreover, in November this year he won the Junior Boys Singles silver medal at the ITTF Hungarian Junior Open.  The December 2012 Table Tennis Canada ranking has Chen at #1 on Junior 18 Boys and #2 on the Men’s ranking with a rating 3675.

Chen Hongtao is a right-handed player and he is currently using a Butterfly Timo Boll ALC shakehand blade with Tenergy 05 rubber on the forehand and Tenergy 64 rubber on the backhand.
