Hutch Goes Wireless At The National Sports Festival

Dec. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Hutch provided a quick and complete Wi-Fi solution for the press room attended by over 40 journalists at the three-day 38th National Sports Festival which took place at the Sugathadasa Stadium complex in Colombo from 30th November and concluded on 02nd December, under the auspices of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The technical team at Hutch was able to assist the Ministry of sports with a high end technical solution. The team at Hutch was able to provide the required solution within a couple of days in order to meet the requirements by the journalist.

Hutch 3G services now covers all 25 districts across the island with the aim of fulfilling the diverse needs of all segments. The company was on an aggressive expansion drive further expanding its 2G network and increasing the 3G sites across the island.

The 38th National Sports Festival represented a participation of 1,200 athletes across all parts of the country, including those from the Northern and Eastern province. Winning the President’s Trophy and bagging 78 gold medals, Western Province once again proved as overall champions.
