By: JloveMediaServices An extraordinarily versatile saxophonist as well as an instrumentalist on keyboards, piano, and organ, Primus has made quite a name for himself locally, and nationally. Early in his career he stepped out onto the historic Apollo Theatre stage in Harlem, NY as a contestant on “Showtime at the Apollo” where he became a three time winning saxophonist. He has gone on to share the stage with renowned artists Jeffrey Osborne, Jody Watley, Rashaan Patterson, Eric Roberson, and more lending his musical talents. Primus is an alumnus of the Berklee College of Music, Boston MA. While at Berklee, Primus served as the Student Government Association President, Student Liaison to the Presidential Search Committee, and received the Music Business Management Achievement Award for outstanding service to the college and to the community. Primus also served as an undergraduate board member for the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Northeastern Province. Primus is known for his many different musical styles, including a hybrid jazz, funk, and R&B sound. As a recording artist, he has entertained audiences coast to coast and is known for his signature soulful strut style on stage. His latest album Introduction to B.
