KBN offers a free classic Christmas novel for families to read on Christmas Eve.

No one saw the conflict between the 1 percent and the 47 percent more clearly than Charles Dickens. Still scathingly accurate today, his modified pamphlet on social economics, A Christmas Carol, is now free for all to read on the Kids' Book Network.

Dec. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- KBN has announced a new national tradition on Christmas Eve by encouraging American families to sit down together, snuggle, and sip eggnog while reading the Charles Dickens 1837 holiday classic, A Christmas Carol.

But families can now read the entire page-turning novel for free on the contemporary internet-based Kids' Book Network. And the original text and original 19th century illustrations make the experience even more rewarding.

As a KBN flashbook, the book can be read on a computer or TV screen, or projected large on the family room wall. And it's completely free.

"A Christmas Carol is a classic novel that's especially timely today," explained KBN CEO Uncle Henry, "because we see the same political issues today between the inherent self-interest of capital wealth and the critical education, health and economic needs of our whole American society as we go forward.

"We hope that if, on Christmas Eve, enough politicians of good will on both sides can see our problems in the mirror of Charles Dickens then just maybe we can have a happier holiday season for all – and even keep America from going off the fiscal cliff."
