Houston auto glass repair specialist warns against driving with damaged windshield this holiday

Dec. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- While Houston law enforcement officials may not issue tickets or other citations to drivers of vehicles with cracked or damaged windshields this holiday season, auto glass experts say driving vehicles with cracked windshields could lead to serious accidents and even death.

“It is simple really. We know that clean and properly maintained vehicle windshields allow drivers to see where they are going. It also allows them to see far ahead and possibly avoid accidents before they happen. When you drive a vehicle with damaged windshield, you take a huge risk especially during this holiday season,” Linares said in his office in Houston, Texas today.

“It happens every year. At this time as we approach the New Year, we always experience a spike in service calls. I think it is because cold weather affects windshield cracks. When the temperature becomes cold, minor cracks tend to expand. If not fixed, they become bigger problems,” Linares said.
