Dec. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The headlining product of VES Inc, the VES 5200, was examined along with three devices from competing brands. Ultimately, the VES 5200 received the exceptional rating of 4 out of 5 stars, which was the best review out of all devices assessed.

IPCs are used by athletes in competitive and physically exhausting sports to help move more blood and increase circulation to the extremities following strenuous exercise. In doing so, the IPC unit flushes lactic acid and waste out of the body. This method helps reduce injuries, swelling, and soreness for many of the world’s top athletes, allowing for a quicker recovery and return to the game.

The VES 5200 is described by TriBomb ( http://tribomb.com/review.php?ID=241#.UMJqS4O5N8F )as having the most flexibility and offering the most options out of all the IPC devices reviewed. This is most accurately portrayed in three of the devices’ features; the 5200’s selection of boots, a higher number of chambers, and the sheer number of programmable options offered, including preprogrammed cards that ship with the device. The boots are dubbed “extremely well made and well thought out”, and the review mentions that they are made of very thick and durable material. Each boot features a total of 10 chambers, which is more than any other device available on the market. The additional chambers allow for the VES 5200 to target trouble spots and offer a much more focused approach. Finally, the VES Sports device was praised for the options included, among which are an easy-to-use system of magnetic swipe cards that specify preprogrammed options. These preprogrammed cards offer a full range of settings corresponding to various recovery modes.

Other noteworthy options that perform exceptionally well in the VES 5200 unit are the Decongest Mode, the Focus Mode, and the simultaneous or cascade Vent Mode. TriBomb was impressed by the decongest mode which allows the user a 5 minute pre-flushing of the limb before beginning compression treatment. During treatment, athletes can specify a particular problem area using Focus Mode, allowing for focused compression on certain areas of the body that need more attention. After IPC treatment is completed, users can specify whether all pressure is released immediately with Simultaneous Vent Mode or whether pressure is released one chamber at a time with Cascade Vent Mode.

“We were pleased to have such a thorough and favorable review from the TriBomb experts." says Linda T. Miller, PT, DPT, Director of Product Development and Research for the VES, "We are relatively new to sports recovery and our technology was focused on function and performance.  Our new design, scheduled for release in February, will address the issues pointed out in the TriBomb review.  The VES will be a smaller more portable model with touch screen programming.  We are very excited about the changes.”

VES Sports will be releasing a new and improved version of the VES 5200 in the first quarter of 2013, which will build upon the success and notability of the current version.
