Follow on Google News | Umberto Bocce Limited Duffle BagUmberto Bocce releases it's rendition of the duffle bag in vegetable tanned Italian leather.
By: Umberto Bocce The duffle is made from vegetable tanned leather sourced in italy and constructed in the USA using old world techniques. "We're excited about this bag because it's not like what you'll see if you walk through bloomingdale's, saks, or nordstrom's. Most bags in the market today use over processed leather. Our leather is natural cut, from the shoulder, because we wanted to create a bag that shows the imperfections of the leather, and make the bag much more masculine," Explains Melissa Martillo, Director at Umberto Bocce. "We also used large luggage zippers and reinforced stitching, adding to the ruggedness and durability of the bag." The Bocce brand pays homage to the sport of bocce, which has slowly become more popular and is widely played across the country. The name “Umberto Bocce” was inspired by a bocce player named Umberto Granaglia. Between 1957 and 1980 Granaglia won a record 13 World Championships, 12 European Championship titles, and 46 Italian National Championships. He is widely recognized as the greatest bocce player to ever play the game. Umberto Bocce also makes bocce caps, ties, and men's belts. The website www.umbertobocce.com has recently been relaunched.
