Tao Lin has joined as Vice President of Engineering, and Eric Sniff joined as Senior Developer.
By: RingDNA Tao Lin was Director of SAP labs in Palo Alto for eight years, where he initiated the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure product to help enterprises manage shipments, commerce, supply chains and other processes. He then headed up R&D at Amitive, where he developed the company’s enterprise application platform and eventually played a key role in its acquisition. During his remarkable tenure at both companies, his work helped win the Wall Street Journal Europe Earned Innovation Award, the CompTIA Most Innovative Software Award, and earned a spot on the Red Herring North America 100. Immediately prior to joining RingDNA, he was CTO of Telopea, where he managed an offshore and onshore development team while creating an Internet of Things enterprise application platform that integrated RFID/sensor data collection with business operations. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Newcastle in Australia, and has been granted 10 patents in a variety of enterprise and related technologies. His thought leadership has been published in more than 45 journals, book chapters and conference papers. In his new leadership role, Lin will be critical in extending the RingDNA API platform into one that integrates with a variety of mission-critical enterprise software. He will assume day-to-day supervision of the RingDNA development team while reporting directly to COO Kanwar Saluja. “Tao is an incredible innovator with demonstrated success building for the enterprise,” Eric Sniff adds immediate muscle to RingDNA’s analytics and mobile initiatives. As a Senior Developer at WebTrends, Sniff led projects involving client-side data collection SDKs for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. His extensive experience building middleware services, including real-time analytics and external data extraction from third-party sources such as Facebook and Twitter, will help as RingDNA increases its social sales initiatives. A former IBM software engineer, Sniff is fluent in C#, Java, C/C++, iOS and many other technologies. He graduated from University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.
