PRLog - Dec. 6, 2012 - OAK BROOK, Ill. -- For those who are unfamiliar with the charity, Operation Smile is a non-profit organization that provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities for children around the world.
Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. These children are unable to speak and, in some areas in the world, shunned from their communities. The families of these children in need are unable to afford to provide their children with the proper surgery needed to correct the deformity. Since 1982, Operation Smile has provided more than 3.5 million evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults.
“The whole team here at Jonathan Wesley is really excited to be working with such an amazing organization. Operation Smile aims to make a difference in the lives of children that are overlooked by so many. We could not be happier to be making a difference in the world today” says Consultant Andrew Breuninger.
