GeneralCounselWest, a boutique law firm serving healthcare and life sciences companies, has expanded over the past year with the addition of two attorneys with extensive law firm and in-house experience: Carrie Fogliani, a health care attorney previously with the City of Hope cancer center and Amgen, and Julie Paluch, a life sciences litigation and regulatory attorney, previously with Sidley Austin LLP and Amgen. The larger office space was acquired to accommodate this growing team and in anticipation of future needs.

The firm was established in 2009 by Joseph Schohl, the former General Counsel of DaVita Inc., a Fortune 500 healthcare company, to provide fast-growing businesses access to the same sophisticated legal counsel and resources that larger companies staff in-house.
