Returning as Title Partner this year is the TATA Group, also sponsoring a flagship management event called TAS Zeus that will offer a prestigious TAS shortlist to the winners aside from whopping prize money of INR 1 Lakh. State Bank of India has taken up the mantle as the associate title partner apart from partnering for the much sought after “Biz Quiz”, the inter B-school business quiz.
Like always, there are spectacular management events with prestigious prizes at stake. The Next CEO, L&T Finance Holdings' Finesse, GSK Consumer Healthcare’s Marketing Moguls, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Finathlon complete the flagship management events ably supported by a host of industry and domain specific competitions for B-school students. Online events such as Treatise and Dayitva have extended Manfest's reach to international participants from Stanford to Singapore.
Events at Manfest have evolved across multiple stages. From purely intellectual contests to talent identification platforms for corporates, these events are now helping in solving real management problems. Competitions at Manfest this year will be geared towards providing fresh new ideas, case-driven insights and sound management expertise.
The Leaders Express at Manfest has the objective of bringing IIM Lucknow students closer to thought leaders of the country. Last year, Manfest saw presence of leaders like Azim Premji, Ronnie Screwvala among others. This year too such leadership talks are on the cards. Along with that are two very relevant leadership summits – one centered on marketing and advertising and the other on infrastructure, two of India’s fastest growing sectors. Then there are events like Corporate Luncheon, talk series and Gravitas - the Manfest publication.
Social Responsibility is a crucial element in the path to sustainable living and transformational social change. As a responsible B-school, IIM Lucknow places a lot of stress on this. Under its Social Impact Initiatives, Manfest launches the third edition of the hugely-successful event Yajna - The Pan-India NGO Challenge that will get NGOs, corporates and students to work together in solving critical social problems of the day, in as many as 8 Indian cities. There would be other initiatives like the Network 18 Prerna Fellowship and the Lucknow 10k Run which would also be focusing on Social Impact Initiatives.
All this serious business is, however, not without its share of fun as Manfest gets geared up for various entertainment events. Past editions of Manfest have seen hosting two International acts – a first for B Schools in India. This edition would also be offering similar acts along with some exciting Bollywood action.
All in All, Manfest 2013 promises to be a roller coaster ride of competition, discussion, knowledge creation and entertainment!
