PRLog (Press Release) -
Dec. 5, 2012 - A first time for this production, Premier Centre for the Arts has created a unique show to celebrate the Hunger Games in a dance production. The plot of the book, along with the soundtrack of the movie have been combined and morphed into its own creation that is expressed through the art of dance! Not only will this be a dance focused production, but the twirlers at PCA have also gotten involved and will be participating in the show. “The kids are extremely excited to mix the dancers and twirlers together!” says Kristen Gagliardi, leading twirl instructor. The role of Katniss Everdeen will be played by Tess Greene, a sophomore at Middletown High School. “This is my first dance production, and it’s a cool experience because Hunger Games is so popular right now, you have to live up to it’s reputation” says Greene.
Performances for the Hunger Games will be Friday December 21 at 7:00pm, Saturday December 22 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, and Sunday December 23 at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online, over the phone, or at PCA’s box office. This is a completely unique experience you don’t want to miss! The Capitol has selected the next boy and girl from each district, and now it begins!
Premier Centre for the Arts is located at 27 Anderson Street in historic downtown Middletown, Delaware. With almost 500 weekly students and 250 annual performances, PCA focuses its performance-
