Volunteers Stand up for Children
“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit,” says Ann Marie Binsner, Executive Director of CASA. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including increasing the number of abused and neglected children who have access to a CASA advocate; preparing older foster youth to transition out of foster care to independence and placing 85% of the children we serve into safe, permanent and loving homes.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Court Appointed Special Advocates/Prince George’s County received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and community members. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, one person wrote, “I can't imagine not being a CASA because these kids are our future. They will be leaders someday and I am honored to be in this chapter of their lives.”
Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for causes to support during the holiday season.
