Follow on Google News | FPA of MA Member Austin Poirier Provides pro-bono Financial Counseling for Service MembersPoirier, a Senior Investment Advisor with Ballentine Partners, LLC in Waltham, traveled to Westover Air Force Base to meet with service members from the Air Force Reserve to discuss money issues including credit reports, debt, and savings plans.
By: PR First Poirier is an active volunteer with a team of Military Pro Bono members from the FPA™ of MA that offers free financial coaching and planning to service members and their families. A resident of Dedham, Poirier received a Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) from the McCallum School of Business at Bentley College and a Bachelor of Science in Management, Summa Cum Laude, from Bentley College. Poirier holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analyst Society. A native of Norwood MA, Poirier enjoys sports, outdoor activities and spending time with family. “We thank Austin for his donating his time and talent to work with the National Guard service members who serve our country,” said John Napolitano, President of the FPA™ of MA. “Many of these service members have faced long term deployments away from home and having a financial plan in place can ease the stress on them and their families.” About the Financial Planning Association™ Since the year 2000, the FPA™ MA has sought to foster the value of financial planning and advance the financial planning profession in the Bay State.
