Palm Coast, FL – Grand Haven Realty is quickly seeking donations to fill boxes to send to U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
“When we started talking about inter office gift giving this year, the conversation quickly turned to what we could do for those U.S. troops overseas,” said Jim Cullis, Grand Haven Realty’s President. “Local resident Douglas Beaven, who is currently serving in Afghanistan, communicated with us that some of the service men and women don’t receive any care packages for the holidays, and we launched the initiative from there,” Cullis added.
Grand Haven Realty will take care of the packaging and mailing of all the items. Some of the items that Grand Haven Realty is collecting include: nuts, phone cards, playing cards, Pringles, word puzzles, body powder, socks, chap stick, disposable cameras, mints/Altoids, snack mixes, zip lock bags, hot cocoa mix, beef jerky, gloves, books and any kind of chocolate.
Items may be dropped off at Grand Haven Realty’s office at 7 Sandpiper Court, Palm Coast, off Colbert Drive. It takes an average of two weeks for a package to arrive in Afghanistan, so the deadline is Monday, December 10th.
