New Arts Magazine Has Readers Choose All Content

A new kind of Arts magazine which puts artists in control is getting ready to launch.

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Art will always be made, but it will not always be seen. Only little separates the paintings, photographs, and poetry that are shown to the public, and the art that goes unrecognized, filling cardboard boxes or studio corners.

Part of the problem is that the decision to publish and promote someone’s work is usually made by a select group of people - not the art community itself.

Flowsee Magazine will be a monthly democratic Arts magazine where only the readers have the power to decide what is published. Every month, artists from around the world can submit their work to Flowsee’s online platform, which is completely open, and anyone, anywhere, can submit, vote, or simply browse.

Once the submission period has ended, the top three most popular submissions from each artistic category (Painting, Mixed Media, Installation, etc.) are published in Flowsee Magazine. The magazine will be professionally designed and produced, and will be available for free in digital form. Readers will also have the option to purchase individual print copies or subscribe to receive them monthly.

Flowsee Magazine is based in Berlin, and is currently raising funds on Kickstarter in order to finish developing the voting interface and publish the first edition. The platform will be fully functional by February, and the first issue of the magazine will be published in March.
