The new service is designed specifically for those whose Vietnam visa has come close to expiration dates but still wish to stay in Vietnam longer. This service is applicable for those currently stay in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City only.

How does Vietnam visa extension service work?

To apply for this service, clients need to send a scanned copy of their passports with the pages containing their current Vietnam visa to the email support@vietnam-visa.com. Information on the passports needs to be sent to the Vietnam Immigration Department for verification before extending/renewing.

The verification results from Vietnam Immigration Department will decide whether one visa can be extended / renewed, how long it will be extended/renewed to and how much it will cost for the process to go through.

Those who are in Hanoi can bring their original passports to the www.Vietnam-visa.com office. Those who are in Ho Chi Minh City will have their passports picked up by our staff. These passports then will go to the Vietnam Immigration Department office for extension/renewal.

How long does the extension process take?

The whole process might take up to 7 days for one month visas and 10 days for three month visas. Visas should be applied for extension at least 1 week before the expiration dates.

Tips for visa extension

● Before applying for visa extension, passports must have 2 blank pages at least.

● For tourist and business Visa, the extension/renewal is only applicable for 1 month or 3 months (single/ multiple)

● For Diplomatic, Official visas, or/and other types of visa, it should be applied through the official agencies or government or business sponsor or contact the Vietnam Immigration Department in person.
