That’s because new surveys show that the rapidly growing popularity of mobile devices are driving a major new tectonic shift in how consumers expect to send and receive information....and how businesses need to quickly catch up in order to keep pace.
According to a Pew Internet Survey conducted this year, while 58% of those surveyed have a desktop computer, 85% of American adults state they now have a cell phone. And there are now more than 219 million cellphone users in the U.S.
Ericsson Corporation notes this trend will further accelerate. By 2017, Ericsson expects there will be 9 billion mobile devices in use, outstripping the anticipated population of the earth itself by 1.6 billion! And the most popular use of mobile data – text messaging services – is expected to continue to rise --by a factor of 15 times!
“Text messaging quite simply is proving to be the easiest, fastest, most reliable and effective means to reach new and existing customers today,” observes Bullseyetext.com's founder Tom Connolly.
“That's why we're particularly excited to introduce this revolutionary new marketing approach to small businesses.”
Reasons for the dramatic interest are several fold. Businesses seeking to reach new prospects online are finding they're increasingly having to compete with a growing blizzard of daily “junk mail” offers, and less than 20% of email messages are now opened much less read. And since just 14% of prospective customers today have web-enabled phones, many have to wait until they are in front of a computer before they can open and read an offer, possibly print out a coupon, and subsequently redeem it. Studies show this can take an average of 6.4 hours...often more.
“By contrast, within 15 minutes of sending a text blast, over 95% of my subscribers typically read a text message offer,” Connolly points out. “And consumers can redeem the offer or coupon right while they're shopping, frequently right at point of purchase.”
Email service that have been losing ground in the current online marketing war for small business dollars claim they still hold the high ground when it comes to cost. But Connolly disagrees..
“I founded Bullseye Text for a simple reason – to give small businesses a real choice -- to not only enable them to reach greater number of targeted prospects, but for the least amount of cost. And we also provide the best follow-up customer service they're going to find anywhere.”
David Boufford, who has served as a top sales and marketing strategist to hundreds of businesses throughout his career, notes: “Marketing today is all about results. And Bullseye Text is delivering superior results...by leveraging the very best practices in this newly emerging industry.”
And Quality Thrift Store in Montclair, California, observes: “Bullseye Text Marketing’s text marketing program delivered 200 shoppers to my store at a cost of only .53 cents per customer. This is 10x greater than our previous email campaigns!”
