Creative Director Wins Prestigious Award

Dec. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Sandro Macri, Creative Director of Salon Collage, won Avant Garde Hairstylist of The Year at the 23rd annual Contessa Awards held this past November in Toronto, Canada. “Not only is being chosen as a finalist in The Contessas something I’m truly proud of accomplishing,” says Marci, “but winning the award for Avant Garde Hairstylist of The Year, and going up against my peers—some of the best in the business—is truly an incredible honour.”

Inspired by a painting, Macri sat down with artist Trilby Reeves who sketched out the images Macri described from the vision he had in his head. “I wanted to have floating women in the sky, hair inspired with many different textures shapes and forms,” says Macri. “In our industry the sky is the limit and we should always test the boundaries of our work."
