LSI wins ‘Storage Software Appliance Solution of the Year’ at the SVC Awards 2012

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 4, 2012 - London, UK – 4 December 2012 – LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that the LSI® Nytro™ XD Application Acceleration Storage Solution has won the Storage Software Appliance Solution of the Year at the SVC Awards 2012, held on the 22nd November in central London.
The LSI solution combines high-capacity flash with  high performance caching software.  Host-based software detects hot spots of frequently accessed data and stores them in a LSI Nytro WarpDrive™ Application Acceleration card for faster responses to applications. The Nytro XD solution’s host-based software is designed to intelligently and dynamically handle application acceleration often without the need to reconfigure the application or filesystem to make the best use of flash storage.
This helps users deliver up to a 30x performance improvement over hard disk drive (HDD) storage systems resulting in optimised data I/O rates with faster system and application performance using existing IT infrastructure for investment protection.

The SVC awards reward the products, projects and services as well as honour companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualisation and storage fields.
