The Bronx Biz Holiday Network and Toy Drive to Benefit Kids Living in Shelters

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 4, 2012 - Come celebrate the holidays and make important business connections for the new year. Network with Bronx entrepreneurs and community leaders and give back to Bronx kids too.

The Bronx Entrepreneurs and Business Network (BEBN), Amapola Events Planning and PRSUN Communications invite you to the Bronx Biz Holiday Network and Toy Drive from 7 to 10 pm December 12 at El Habanero (Mexican) restaurant, 43 Bruckner Blvd. Admission is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated to a child in one of BronxWorks local shelters. BronxWorks, a nonprofit organization, helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being through various programs.

The featured artist for the evening is poet and social entrepreneur Mariposa Maria Teresa Fernandez of Poetry for Entrepreneurs, which helps entrepreneurs and small business owners create powerful messaging through the power of poetry and storytelling. The network will include a silent auction featuring, among other things, the work of graffiti artist James Sexer Rodriguez, as well as fun raffle  giveaways, thanks to our partners and/or sponsors, many of them BEBN members.

Collections for unwrapped new toys are being raised now at several drop off locations until December 15. Toys for infants to teens are being accepted. The drop off locations are:
