Koss started a nonprofit organization to teach kids the music he plays so well. He wanted to give back and find a way to save children who were less fortunate. He came to Florida and started the Koss Music and Cultural Arts Institute. Together with his wife Sandy and several other dedicated music teachers, Koss teaches about 30 kids every week for free. Most parents are unable to afford the cost of tuition but that does not stop Koss and his band of dedicated teachers.
This week, Koss and his kids will perform at the Shops at Wiregrass Mall. The mall hosts a Grand Holiday celebration until January. The Koss Music and Cultural Institute was invited to play on Thursday, December 6th at 6:15pm, 7:15pm and 8:15pm. This show will be repeated on December 13th. Koss expects to have several of his students perform Christmas songs on both days.
Koss said, "This is a most exciting time for the kids since most of them will be performing for the first time in public." He is extremely excited and looks forward to the public supporting the efforts of his Institute.
