EMS, Inc. Raises Money for Operation Smile!

Dec. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- EMS, Inc sponsored a fundraiser in honor of Operation Smile Sunday, October 28, 2012. The fundraiser was an all you can eat brunch held at Junction Trattoria & Bistro in North Kingstown, Rhode Island from 10:00am-1:00pm. EMS, Inc had 18 employees participate in this charity and raised just under $400.00. The Account Managers that participated in the charity had to act as the wait staff, bartender, and hostess positions within the restaurant. Manager, Sandy Manco, allowed our Account Manager’s, who were serving, to receive 10 percent of food sales, as well as 100 percent of tips, to donate to the charity event.  

Operation Smile is an international children’s medical charity that provides free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Operation Smile has provided reconstructive surgery to more than 150,000 children and young adults.

President Ben Levy, and Co- Manager Kristen Balogh were very happy with the outcome. “It was a fun time, with awesome people, and we raised money for a good cause, I can’t wait until our next event,” said Ben.  “It’s awesome to be around such a great group of people who don’t mind giving up a few hours of their weekend to raise money for charity. We are lucky to have such an amazing team, “  said Kristen.

EMS, Inc. plans to reach their goal and raise their pledged amount of 2,000$ to donate to operation smile.

EMS, Inc., is a business development firm based in Warwick, RI. Due to increased client demand we will be opening 2 new offices within the next 6 months.
