Exodus Place Uses New Social Networking Site to Better Connect with Donors

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 3, 2012 - Grand Rapids, MICH--- Exodus Place, of Grand Rapids, has transitioned from their old website to the new social networking site, Ning.  Ning will allow Exodus to connect with donors easily and frequently.  With Ning, members of the Exodus page can create their own page and then participate in forums, write blogs, create and join special groups to connect with other members, watch and upload videos and pictures, listen to music, get updates on events, and donate.  Exodus Place believes it is important to stay connected with donors who give the organization so much support, and felt that their old website was not able to facilitate this open communication.

Top organizers, marketers, influencers, and activists use Ning to create an online destination that weaves social conversations in content and inspire action”.  With social media being such an important part of peoples’ lives these days, Exodus Place is excited to be a part of the social network platform.  

Exodus Place is a non-profit facility for homeless men such as war Veterans, men who have been in prison and men who were addicted to alcohol or drugs.  The organization offers these men affordable housing, employment assistance, counseling, an inexpensive meal plan, and mentoring services.  Exodus strives to help these men get back on their feet and get back to being a productive member of society.  Exodus Place believes in “A Hand Up, Not A Hand Out” and that with the right tools, these once homeless men, can get their lives back.
