“We have a very loyal customer base” says agency owner, Mark Scott. “Most of our visitors are from London and the surrounding area and take several short breaks throughout the year. Many of them use our cottages over and over again for a short break to get away from city life for a few days.”
Essex has some great countryside and very pretty villages and it seems a natural development for The Grove Cottages to make a rural escape even easier for their customers, by finding them gorgeous cottages to stay in, all within easy reach of London. “Our cottages are full of character and atmosphere, we love quirky places and focus on the romance of staying in a unique property” says Mark. “Most of them have open fires, which people love and we go to a lot of trouble to ensure our visitors are well looked after and have a fantastic time with us”.
Mark is keen to hear from people in rural Essex, who are thinking of creating a holiday cottage that would fit in well with The Grove Cottages ethos: “We have a proven record of consistently high occupancy rates and are keen to work with cottage owners who share our goals of providing a wonderful, memorable experience of ‘rural romance’ to their customers, and who want to be part of a successful and growing business”.
The Grove Cottages is the only agency in the region that operates on a performace-related basis and only takes a commission once a set monthly income figure (roughly equating to a residential rental) has been achieved for each cottage.
