With immense pleasure, EVI wishes to inform you that Jami Hossain, Chief Mentor & Co-founder of WinDForce Management Services Private Limited (an EVI Subsidiary), has been elected as the new President at Northern Regional Council, Indian Wind Power Association (IWPA -www.windpro.org), as on 21st November 2012. Earlier, this position was handled by Mr. Sunil Jain, Chief Operating Officer of Green Infra Limited.

“Wind is increasingly emerging as the main source of energy across the world. Its enhanced use poses many policy and regulatory issues. Since Northern Regional Council of IWPA includes Delhi, we will be approaching many central agencies to resolve policy and regulatory issues. We will also be coordinating with State Nodal Agencies on matters related to wind energy utilization." says Jami Hossain

Jami is known for his work in 2011 on assessment of the potential for wind energy in India at 2000 to 3000 GW as opposed to an earlier perceived assessment of around 45 GW. His work has been subsequently validated in a number of studies carried out by reputed national and international agencies.
Jami is also the Honorary Editor for Windpro (an IWPA) Magazine, elected member of the governing council of Indian Wind Energy Association (InWEA-www.inwea.org) and elected Treasurer of World Wind Energy Association (WWEA - www.wwindea.org).
