While making music for industry film soundtracks, still penning and producing songs, Vinnie produced the new street anthem "Grillz/Throw Ur Handz Up" for R&B/Hip-Hop's latest "Hot Chick" Sherie Amore; which has been banging hard in the night clubs around the country and the U.K. The single - coming from Sherie's forethcoming album, with a yet to be announced release date, also features one of "Houston's Finest", rapper - Slim Thug.
Coming from a very artistic background, Vinnie has always had interest in music as well as the arts. His mother owned several businesses; including a fashion institute and interior design studio, and a modeling agency, while his father played a couple of instruments, and sang lots of tunes. "My Dad's library of song collections were so dope and heavy, you would think he was a dj, man," boasts a candid Vinnie, "I mean he had crates on top of crates of records! I grew up listening to artists like Eric Clapton, Dillinger, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Eric Donaldson, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Kenny Rogers and lots more, I can't even name."
Young Vinnie later started listening to artists like Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, UB40, Phil Collins, to groups like New Edition and Jodeci, singers Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Puff Daddy and the entire Bad Boy crew, plus rappers like Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, and The Neptunes. "I still listen to all genres of music, without limitations,"
Gabriel Da Vinnie is currently producing songs for various artists around the U.S. and abroad, as he joins the trend of new hot producers to be seen in the year 2013.
