The New Comedy Series "It’s So L.A." Hosts a Flash Mob to Launch Their Crowd Funding Campaign

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 1, 2012 - In a fun grassroots effort to raise awareness for their project, It’s So L.A. ™, fans will informally gather to perform an impromptu dance in each of the three blocks of the very popular 3rd street promenade shopping street in Santa Monica, CA. The performances will begin at 12noon in the block between Wilshire and Arizona, moving onto the next two blocks in half hour increments. Event specifics and a video of the dance steps can be found at https://www.facebook.com/ItsSoLA under the “Events” Tab. Fans and media are invited to join in the fun with the cast and crew of the show, including the stars--Kellie Koppel and Laura Owen!

The Dance will be performed to the SCIPIO song “Welcome 2 LA.” ISL (It’s So L.A. ™) interns, actress Elli Sherrer and dancer/model Kate Petola have been integral to the flash mob project in creating the choreography and recruiting members of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority of CSUN (California State University of Northridge) to help fill out the performance. The dance is posted online on the It’s So L.A.’s™ Facebook page and You-Tube channel for all to learn. Everyone is invited to learn the dance and join the performance!  

The It’s So L.A.™ fund-raising campaign can be found on the Indie GoGo website at http://www.indiegogo.com/itssola and donations start as low as $5 for fans to $10,000 for sponsors who want their brand to be written into the script and featured on the show. The money raised will go towards funding the production of the 12 episodes of the first season of the show.
