Managing Director and founder of the company Martin Lewis welcomed his team with a brief speech about how the loyalty of long term members of staff had been instrumental in the business achieving the growth and success it had enjoyed over the past quarter of a century.
After congratulating several key members of his team for the part they had played in the success of the company, and thanking every member of staff for their loyalty and commitment, Mr Lewis found himself on the receiving end of an accolade.
His wife Angela, a fellow director, and daughter Suzie, head of marketing for the business, presented him with a special bottle of 25 years old Malt whisky and an engraved glass from all the staff.
Afterwards Suzie said: “If it hadn’t been for his vision and tremendous hard work, Beta Group wouldn’t be where it is today. Our presentation was simply a means of recognizing his key role in the performance of a very successful company that provides good jobs for many people.”
Beta Group’s Air Filter manufacturing facilities, based at its Bacup HQ, provide quality products for the two distinct on-site maintenance operations of spraybooth service and building services (M & E).
Despite the challenging economic conditions, Beta Group, which employs more than 50 people, bucked the national trend by announcing a record annual turnover in April this year. At the time Mr Lewis said his company’s performance underlined the fact that Beta Group was: “Perceived as a well-established and trusted partner by all our client companies.”
