Conejo YMCA Hosts Winter Camps in Thousand Oaks & Moorpark

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Moorpark, Calif.--The Conejo Valley YMCA will be hosting winter camps in Thousand Oaks and Moorpark. The camps coincide with winter breaks for area school districts: December 26 through December 28 and January 2 through January 4.

         The Y's Moorpark camp will be held at Peach Hill Elementary School (13400 Christian Barrett, Moorpark). The camp is open to students in the Moorpark Unified School District in kindergarten through fifth grades. The Y's Thousand Oaks holiday camp will be held at MATES Charter School (2000 La Granada Drive, Thousand Oaks) and is open to MATES students only. Hours for both camps are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

         Camp activities include cookie decorating, holiday themed projects, arts and crafts and outdoor activities. For students not already enrolled in the Y's afterschool program, the cost for camp is $111 per week. Children should bring lunch, snacks and warm clothing.
