Magical Illusion Takes Place at the Mirage As Neil Diamond Performs at Optimist Annual Taste Fest

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Clinton Twp., MI – Performing in his second consecutive appearance, Michael Carllucio treated the audience to their favorite Neil Diamond songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.  Carluccio is known throughout the Midwest as the man of a thousand voices.

His most requested artist to perform is Neil Diamond.  “People often ask if that is really me singing a Neil Diamond song,” blushed Carluccio.  “I really don’t try to impersonate the famous artists with their songs.  I just mimic Neil Diamond’s phrasing and presentation.”

As of 2001, Neil Diamond had sold over 115 million records worldwide including 48 million in the United States alone. He is considered to be the third most successful adult contemporary artist ever on the Billboard chart behind Barbra Streisand and Elton John. Neil Diamond songs have been performed internationally by many artists like Carluccio from various musical genres.

Diamond was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984 and into the Rock and He has had eight number one hit singles: "Cracklin Rosie", "Song Sung Blue", "Desiree", "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", "Love on the Rocks", "America", "Yesterday's Songs", and "Heartlight." Diamond continues to record and release new material and maintains an extensive touring schedule as well.

Michael’s next public performance will take place at the Polish Century Club in Troy and treat his audience to a Christmas atmosphere.
