I want people to know that Africa is a nice place and that Africans are wonderful people.” Memories of my Africa: enjoying Africa and its people contains 31 short stories telling of his experiences from 1964 through 2007, when he lived and worked as a physics teacher in Uganda, Botswana, and Ethiopia. “I have written down my experiences there as they happened, without adding or embellishing.” The book also features black and white photos taken by the author and his wife.

About the Author: Bob Landheer lived and worked in Africa on and off as a teacher for a total of 11 years. “Those were the best years of my life! I don’t deny all the bad things that have been and are happening. But there is a more positive side to Africa also. This is what my book is about.” He wrote this book for his grandchildren. Now retired, he lives in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
