The 2014 Nissan GT-R is Set to Debut in January at Woodfield Nissan

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- The new 2014 Nissan GT-R will be available at Woodfield Nissan in Hoffman Estates (http://www.woodfieldnissan.com/hoffman-estates-il-new-cars) in January 2013. The high performance vehicle features a newly improved engine that can now get up to 545 hp and a new premium interior. The vehicle will be available in two trim levels, and there will be two optional packages available.

The Nissan GT-R features a 3.8L VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 engine capable of 545 hp and a torque response between 45000 and 6000 RPM. Each engine is assembled by hand by Nissan engineers. It’s specially designed to reduce friction, improve intake and exhaust, and improve performance. The light-weight engine has a fuel economy of 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

Nissan GT-R designers have equipped the 2014 model with a four-wheel independent suspension that is linked to six-point subframes in both the front and rear. It features the Bilstein DampTronic shock absorber system to improve control, offering drivers three different settings to adjust the suspension to their needs. There are 20-inch aluminum wheels that can be stopped by the Brembo mono-block six-piston brake system.

Four passengers can ride inside the cabin, which features more handcrafted features. Though the vehicle is high-performance based, designers have made sure to make the cabin both comfortable and luxury oriented. The vehicle features a large tachometer making vehicle statistics easily visible, a videogame-like center display and enough trunk space to fit two golf bags.

Drivers will be able to choose from either the GT-R Premium or the GTR-R Black Edition. The Premium trim comes standard with a navigation system, 11-speaker Bose audio system, heated front seats, and a dual-clutch rear transmission. The Black Edition features unique red and black trim accents, leather-appointed seats, a rear spoiler, and black aluminum wheels. There is also a cold weather package and a premium interior package available.
