Watson Realty Corp Chairman of the Board Builds Cross-Border Connections at Global Real Estate Event

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Local real estate expert, Bill Watson, founder and Chairman of the Board of Watson Realty Corp., REALTORS® was in attendance at the recent International Symposium, hosted by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE) and Luxury Portfolio International™. Held at the Grande Real Villia Italia Hotel & Spa in Lisbon, Portugal October 22-24, the event joined representatives from 15 countries in Europe, North America and Asia.

Watson, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for LeadingRE, introduced keynote speaker, Matthew Ferrara of Matthew Ferrara & Company. Ferrara’s presentation focused on “Embracing the Global Marketplace.” Several other industry professionals spoke including Richard Rawlings, the United Kingdom’s 2012 Estate Agency Trainer of the Year, who shared innovative marketing strategies and REAL Trends Editor Steve Murray, who provided a global and economic housing forecast. Information on the latest network initiatives were offered by LeadingRE President/CEO Pam O’Connor, Luxury Portfolio President Paul Boomsma, Luxury Portfolio EVP Stephanie Pfeffer and LeadingRE European Director Chris Dietz.

The Symposium took place in the coastal town of Cascais, located just outside of Lisbon. Participants had the opportunity to sample the area’s cultural and historical attractions and also enjoyed a tour of high-end properties and resorts.

The Symposium is the latest in a series of successful global symposiums held by the network in Madrid, Rome, Valencia and Dublin. Event sponsors included Unique Homes Magazine and Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies.
