Northern Energy: Heating help for low income families

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 30, 2012 - TV presenter and broadcaster, Fiona Phillips, is backing a campaign by the Home Heat Helpline to urge anyone on a low income including older people, families with young children and those with long-term health conditions to claim the free help they are entitled to in reducing their bills.  She said ‘it’s absolutely free so you’ve got nothing to lose and possibly lots to gain’.

The Met Office is predicting a 60% probability of severe cold weather this weekend in parts of  England which could ‘increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services’.  

Christine McGourty from the Home Heat Helpline said ‘As the weather gets colder and households turn on their heating, now is the ideal time to remind people that lots of help is available to keep warm, and that the Home Heat Helpline is there to assist them’.
