Dec. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Driving in the dark may be something you have never done before, or if you have it's been in a busy build up area with street lamps to light the way on your driving lessons (http://www.justdriving.net/index.html). At night visibility is reduced and no matter how good your eye sight is you can only see as far as you headlights will go. Take the following night driving tips on board and use them when out and about at night in a build up area with street lamps or not.

Keep your car inside dark. The greater the amount of light inside the harder your eyes will find it to adapt to the darkness and visibility will be greatly reduced. You will find that when you switch your headlights on your car goes into night mode and all the screens in your car, if you have any, go darker so they don't light up the car as much.
Minimise glare from other cars by looking in the bottom corner of the windscreen opposite to oncoming traffic. Other driver's headlights can really be blinding and it can take drivers a while to recover from glare. Also if you have a night setting on your rear view mirror now would be a good time to use it as it reduces glare from the headlights of the driver behind you.
Let your eyes adapt to the dark conditions before you set off driving. Going from a light room to a dark car can take its toll on your eyes and giving them a few minutes to adapt to the light change can improve the distance you can see.
Slow down when driving in dark conditions as visibility is reduced. Driving in the dark is just like driving in the fog and you won't go speeding through fog. Just because you can't see any danger doesn't mean it isn't there and you should always slow down when visibility is low, whether this be due to the dark or bad weather conditions.
Keep your vehicle maintained well and tuned like the car you use on your driving lessons Manchester (http://www.justdriving.net/driving-lessons/manchester.html). You should check your engine fluids regularly, brake pads, tyre treads and anything else you maintain on your car. Making sure your car is maintained well will ensure you stay safe on the road at night or not!

Your ability to be able to see in the dark is effected by a number of different factors including the health and visual acuity of your eyes and certain conditions that may affect your eye sight make it harder to see on a night. As long as your eye sight test was assessed on your driving lessons in Manchester (http://www.justdriving.net/driving-lessons/manchester.html) and passed on your driving test you should have enough visibility to drive in the dark with no problems!
