San Diego County Medical Society Foundation Hires Nicole Hmielewski as Resource Development Director

Nicole brings 10 years of expertise in non-profit fundraising and development to the Foundation

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 30, 2012 - The San Diego County Medical Society Foundation (SDCMSF; http://www.sdcmsf.org) announced that Nicole Hmielewski has been hired as the Foundation’s Resource Development Director. Nicole joins SDCMSF with 10 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and development, most specifically in the areas of corporate relations, grants and workplace giving. In her new role, Nicole is focusing on physician volunteer recruitment, corporate relations, individual donor relations and grant writing.  

“Nicole’s experience in relationship building and fundraising will make a positive impact on our organization’s ability to serve uninsured adult county residents,” said Barbara Mandel, executive director of the San Diego County Medical Society Foundation. “We couldn’t be more proud to have her join our growing team of dedicated professionals.”

A San Diego County resident since 2002, Nicole is passionate about the service SDCMSF is providing to the local community. “SDCMSF is working to fill such a vital need for many San Diego residents. I am proud to be working with a stellar team to further this mission, and am eager to expand our resources and reach.”

Nicole previously served as the director of development and corporate relations at EarthShare California, a fundraising umbrella for over 80 environmental non-profits. Prior to EarthShare, she was employed at the Surfrider Foundation where she worked with membership and major donor events.
