Soccer Technology Conference Aims To Come Back Bigger, Better & More Inclusive For 2013

Nov. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The boutique soccer, technology and social media conference, Soccer Tech, is seeking expressions of interest for host cities, presenters, sponsors and event organizers for its 2013 event, scheduled for June/July next year.

The inaugural event kicked-off this year as an official event partner of Social Media Week Los Angeles and was heralded a tremendous success by attendees and presenters alike.
Soccer Tech Founder, Ryan Ginard, said that the feedback from this year’s conference and the overwhelming requests to bring it back bigger and better in 2013 made it an easy decision to launch another chapter of the event.

“We have had numerous requests from organizations and influential soccer identities to present for next year which goes to show the impact the event had this September.

“We have also positioned the timing of the conference to coincide with the European off-season to lure some big names to the U.S. who we hope will share with us their expertise and vision for the sport now and into the future” said Mr Ginard.

The event will continue to tackle a number of issues and innovations online in the soccer community including fan engagement, blogging, crowd funding and technological advances.

“Next year’s event will also see more input by fans into how the conference can work for them, and that’s why we are calling for people to join our organizing team to help set the format and agenda.

“Soccer Tech was built by the fans, for the fans and this overarching principle will continue for 2013. We are excited about what this conference can achieve and the possible new directions it could take” Ginard said.

Already we have seen the positive outcomes from bringing like-minded individuals together under one roof to discuss the future of soccer in the U.S. with Ginard and the San Diego based web developers Sixeed, combining to create the new soccer specific social network Futbol Focus (www.futbolfocus.com)  

Futbol Focus is a next generation platform that puts the fan front and center of the soccer industry.

“Soccer has been looking for a real gamechanger in terms of online interaction with its fans, and we believe that we have just the product, and we envision it to continue its growth organically to suit the needs and demands of millions of supporters worldwide.
