Texas Swim Academy Recruiting Members for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer TeamTexas Swim Academy, an infant aquatics, child swim lesson and adult swim lesson facility located in Katy, Texas, is actively recruiting members for its annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer team, scheduled for April 20-21, 2013.

They can then go to avonwalk.org to register for the Texas Swim Academy team. Team members are responsible for raising $1,800 each in efforts to support breast cancer research and preventative care for the Houston and Katy communities. The Avon Walk spans 39.3 miles over two days through Houston’s top landmarks and city attractions on April 20-21, 2013. Texas Swim Academy team members will receive support and help in reaching their dollar goal. Avon also provides resources in attaining donation goals. In addition to team fundraising, Texas Swim Academy will sell special Avon Walk team t-shirts with all proceeds benefiting the Avon Walk campaign goal so all students of the academy can participate. Members of the management team at Texas Swim Academy have all had personal experiences with breast cancer in their families and friends, and feel participating in the Avon Walk can help make a difference in the Katy community. Each team member will have the opportunity to meet fellow Texas Swim Academy parents and Katy residents while participating in a great community cause. Avon donates millions of dollars worldwide to support early detection, prevention and treatment of breast cancer, and invests over two million every year in support of the Katy and Houston communities. Funds from the Avon Walk help underinsured women in Katy and Houston detect and treat breast cancer to give them a fighting chance. Texas Swim Academy is an infant, child and adult swim lesson facility. The academy strives to introduce children to water at an early age and to fully develop their swim stroke abilities through adulthood. Children are taught life saving swim safety skills and have the option to prepare for competitive swim team.
