Finalists and winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges including: John S. Buzza, Monmouth University; Gerald Creighton, Sr., MBA, NJIT Enterprise Development Center; John Farrell, Rider University; Donald N. Lombardi, Ph.D., Stevens Healthcare Educational Partnerships Stevens Institute of Technology; and Dr. Kathleen Reddick, College of St. Elizabeth. Award recipients will be announced on Monday, Dec. 3, at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J.
"I am humbled and honored to be among the finalists in the executive category," Diaz said. "It is especially gratifying to be part of a group that has weathered such a challenging time for business - regardless of industry, size or specialty - and come out the other side ready to move their companies forward for the betterment of their employees, partners and the larger New Jersey community."
Geographically targeted on the New Jersey market, Prism specializes in value-added projects in the office, retail, industrial and residential markets. The company invests with institutional and private capital sources that rely on Prism's ability to identify and realize the highest value potential in all sized real estate endeavors.
Diaz's focus, experience, service and vision have enabled Prism to gain a foothold and stay relevant as a small regional player in a competitive industry where capital and investment opportunities flow much more easily to very large private enterprises and public institutions. Diaz and his team have been able and continue to identify opportunities, raise capital, refinance properties, and buy and develop some of New Jersey's most exciting real estate ventures. He credits the intangibles - with integrity, honesty and discipline among them - and a great deal of hard work by the company's passionate, talented professionals at every level for Prism's success.
