There are many reasons why a couple gets together, but whatever the reason may be, people rarely think about how essential it is to talk about the dreams we have about our relationship.
By: Zuhere Sometimes we think that it is enough to say “I want to have a family with you,” but what does that really mean? That you’ll have children together and therefore become a family? If so, then your idea is flawed. A common mistake that couples make comes from the belief that family automatically implies “children” After years pass by and children leave home to pursue their own lives, couples whose first reason for starting a family was to have children can feel somehow disoriented. Uncertainties as to why they should be together can begin to create indifference and then lead to separation. For the sake of our happiness, it is essential that couples who are ready to start living together think and talk about the nature of their dream together. Does this dream involve growing by each other’s side and then MAYBE having children later on? These kinds of questions are necessary to set the course of the relationship and to remain committed to it. Everyone wants to be loved, so a good thing to do when starting a relationship is to love and be loved. This premise has nothing to do with the romantic vision of pink love, but rather with a fundamental human motivation: the need to feel loved.
