Once all donations are received, a team of volunteer workers will band together to produce a Christmas party and dinner for 93 families at a local shelter on December 18th. From professional chefs and gift wrappers to Santa Claus and performances by several local artists, the families of the DC General Shelter will be provided with an unforgettable experience. Not only will children be provided with gifts from Santa Clause during the Christmas Party, they will have the opportunity to select a small gift for their parents. We will also provide gifts for parents to give their children to open on Christmas morning.
“While our goal is to provide Christmas dinner and gifts to 93 families, we expect to exceed that goal with the help of local companies, restaurants and individuals donating food, money and supplies” says Tiffanie Wagner “There are plenty of opportunities to make donations on a daily basis which is phenomenal, but for me to be able to actually see the joy on the children’s faces as they are presented with everything is such a rewarding experience!”
