Don’t expect a novel which is doom and gloom, though. It is a Christian perspective of domestic violence, and as such it is written with the purpose of making individuals think about how they and their community can reach out to educate and empower anyone caught in a dangerous situation.
Through her work with the Family Justice Center and Family Sunshine Center in
Alabama, Du Bose has a solid appreciation of the front-line work that law enforcement officers do in cases such as those she has written about in ”Uncharted Waters”. This really comes through in her treatment of the main character, Beth, and her work in the Domestic Violence Unit.
Putting all this to one side though, “Uncharted Waters” is an inspirational story of how
one individual can overcome difficult personal circumstances and achieve wonderful
things with the help of their faith.
“Uncharted Waters” is released under the Sunpenny Publishing Group’s Rose & Crown
imprint, so of course there is an inspirational romance story in there too.
